Fully Electric

The 46 is the only hull in the Aquitalia range offered with a fully electric drivetrain, and the only one you can run a quiet anchorage on without a generator.

What the 46 Is Built From

The 46 is the entry point to the range, and the yard has not treated it as one. It is the same moulded FRP hull and gel coat construction as the 78, in a boat two thirds the length.

The interior specification is where the 46 differs from its bigger sisters, and it reads softer: linen alongside the leather, wood veneer in a matt rather than gloss finish. On a boat this size that is the right call, because gloss joinery in a 13.9 m saloon closes the space in rather than opening it up.

  • FRP moulded hull, exterior in white gel coat
  • Wood veneer panelling in a matt finish
  • Leather, linen and microfibre leather wall treatments
  • Traditional or fully electric drivetrain, specified at the build stage

For Pacific Northwest owners the 46 is the size that actually gets used. It fits the marinas that have space, it is manageable two-handed, and it is the one hull in the range you can realistically run up the coast without a crew. If you want more volume for the same handling, the Aquitalia 68 is the next step up.

Dimensions and Capacities

Drawn to the yard’s published length and beam. Figures below come from the shipyard and are pending verification against its official spec sheet.

Aquitalia 46 Hull 01 / 07

Profile and plan drawn to true proportion on the published length and beam. At 2.90:1 the 46 is the stubbiest hull of the three detailed here, which is why it carries its volume without feeling narrow. Hull lines are indicative and are not the shipyard's general arrangement drawing. Dashed amber marks a figure the yard does not publish reliably.

Build to Order

Specify Your Own 46

Every 46 is built to order. The yard’s customization program runs across four areas, and we run the specification with you before anything reaches the build floor.

Interior architecture

Materials, light and layout composed around how you use the boat. On a 13.9 m hull this matters more than it does higher up the range, because there is less of it to waste.

Exterior finish

Gel coat, metallic finishes and hull graphics, specified at the yard rather than corrected with a wrap after delivery.

Stealth intelligence

Bridge systems and ambient control, specified to disappear into the helm instead of stacking screens across it.

Propulsion

The decision that defines this boat. Traditional or fully electric, and it has to be made before the build starts rather than after.

If you are weighing the 46 against the rest of the range, the full Aquitalia fleet from 46 to 110 feet is worth reading first. The step up from here is the 68, which adds nearly seven metres and more than four times the fuel.

Why Us

Ordering a 46 Through Vancouver Yacht Group

An electric drivetrain is a specification decision, not an option you tick at handover. It changes the build, and it changes what the boat needs at the dock.

Build slot direct from the yard

Pricing, availability and delivery timing come to you from the shipyard through us, not through a chain of distributors adding margin at each step.

Shore power that actually exists

If you specify electric, the charging question is a moorage question. We work out what your berth can deliver before the order goes in, not after the boat arrives.

Landed, surveyed, registered

Import, independent survey on arrival and BC registration handled as part of the purchase.

We arrange yacht financing across BC before a build slot is confirmed, and we take on ongoing yacht management after handover. If this is your first new build, start with how buying a yacht in Vancouver works.
