The 78 is the winner of the Best Evolution Award at the Cannes Yachting Festival, and the only hull in the Aquitalia range to hold an award of its own.
What the 78 Is Built From
The 78 is a fibre reinforced plastic hull moulded in one piece and finished in white gel coat, with the interior specified panel by panel rather than picked from a trim level.
That combination is the reason the boat holds its lines. A moulded FRP hull in gel coat gives a hard, repairable surface that survives a working season on this coast, and it takes the yard’s metallic finishes and hull graphics without a wrap. Inside, the surfaces you actually touch are specified separately from the structure:
- FRP moulded hull, exterior in white gel coat finish
- Wood panelling, with pattern options through the yard
- Microfibre leather on wall and window frame decoration
- Metallic finishes and hull graphics available at the build stage

Specify Your Own 78
Every 78 is built to order. The yard’s customization program runs across four areas, and we run the specification with you before anything reaches the build floor.
Interior architecture
Materials, light and layout composed around how you use the boat, from saloon to stateroom, rather than around a showroom plan drawn for a charter week.
Exterior finish
Gel coat, metallic finishes and hull graphics, specified at the yard rather than corrected with a wrap after delivery.
Stealth intelligence
Bridge systems and ambient control, specified to disappear into the helm instead of stacking screens across it.
Propulsion
Traditional is the base system on the 78. The yard’s program also lists hybrid and electric, which is worth asking about early because it changes the build.
If you are still choosing between hulls, the 78 sits directly above the Aquitalia 68 in the range and shares its 6.1 m beam, so the difference you are buying is length and tankage rather than width. The full Aquitalia range from 46 to 110 feet is worth a look before you commit to a size.
