Same Beam, Three Metres Shorter

The 68 carries the same 6.1 metre beam as the 78 in a hull three metres shorter, so you get the bigger boat’s width and interior volume in something easier to berth and cheaper to run.

Construction

What the 68 Is Built From

The 68 is the hull where the range stops being a sportboat and starts being a passagemaker. 4,500 litres of fuel is five times what the 46 carries, and it changes what the boat is for.

Construction is the same moulded FRP hull in white gel coat used across the range. The interior moves to a matt wood panel finish, which on a boat with this much glass is the sensible choice: gloss joinery under a full-beam saloon window throws reflections all day.

  • FRP moulded hull, exterior in white gel coat finish
  • Wood panelling in a matt finish
  • Microfibre leather on wall and window frame decoration
  • Traditional propulsion as the base specification

The yard describes the 68 as offering generous volume with the seaworthiness to use it, and the numbers support the second half of that: this is a hull with the tankage to leave the Strait of Georgia and keep going. If you want the same width with three more metres of it, the Aquitalia 78 is the next hull up.

Dimensions and Capacities

Drawn to the yard’s published length and beam. Figures below come from the shipyard and are pending verification against its official spec sheet.

Profile and plan drawn to true proportion on the published length and beam. At 3.41:1 the 68 sits between the 46 and the 78, and the plan is the clearest way to see that it holds the 78's full width. Hull lines are indicative and are not the shipyard's general arrangement drawing. Dashed amber marks a figure the yard does not publish reliably.

Build to Order

Specify Your Own 68

Every 68 is built to order. The yard’s customization program runs across four areas, and we run the specification with you before anything reaches the build floor.

Interior architecture

The main decision on this hull. A 6.1 m beam gives you a full-beam saloon to lay out, and how you divide it is what separates two 68s from each other.

Exterior finish

Gel coat, metallic finishes and hull graphics, specified at the yard rather than corrected with a wrap after delivery.

Stealth intelligence

Bridge systems and ambient control, specified to disappear into the helm instead of stacking screens across it.

Propulsion

Traditional is the base system here. Hybrid and electric appear in the yard’s program, so ask early if either matters to you.

Reading the range as a whole is worth doing before you commit to a size. The full Aquitalia fleet from 46 to 110 feet sets the 68 in context, and the 46 is the hull to look at if you would rather have the electric option than the volume.

Why Us

Ordering a 68 Through Vancouver Yacht Group

At this size the boat is a build and a berth problem at the same time. A 20.77 m hull with a 6.1 m beam does not fit everywhere, and that is worth solving before the order goes in.

Build slot direct from the yard

Pricing, availability and delivery timing come to you from the shipyard through us, not through a chain of distributors adding margin at each step.

Berth before build

Moorage for a 20 m hull on this coast is the constraint, not the boat. We work out where it goes before you confirm a slot rather than after it lands.

Landed, surveyed, registered

Import, independent survey on arrival and BC registration handled as part of the purchase.

We arrange yacht financing across BC before a build slot is confirmed, and a hull this size earns its keep between owner trips through charter management or full yacht management. If this is your first new build, start with how buying a yacht in Vancouver works.
